Qualifications

Adamstown Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced and motivated Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our growing team. This position is ideal for a technician who enjoys advanced patient care, has a passion for surgery and anesthesia, and is interested in helping develop the next generation of veterinary professionals.

Position Overview

This role is focused on surgical and anesthetic support while also providing opportunities for leadership, mentoring, and staff development.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia patients
  • Perform patient assessments and anesthetic calculations
  • Monitor vital parameters and maintain accurate anesthesia records
  • Assist veterinarians during surgical and dental procedures
  • Maintain surgical equipment and anesthesia machines
  • Ensure compliance with hospital safety and patient care protocols
  • Provide exceptional nursing care before and after procedures
  • Educate clients regarding surgical procedures and post-operative care

Leadership & Professional Development Opportunities
