Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Taryn Schairer joined Adamstown Veterinary Hospital in 2024 and enjoys helping pets and their families achieve the highest quality of life through compassionate, individualized veterinary care. She is passionate about building lasting relationships with clients while helping pets stay healthy through every stage of life, from routine wellness visits to the management of complex medical conditions.
Prior to joining Adamstown Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Schairer practiced large animal medicine with a focus on equine care. Her experience caring for horses provided a strong foundation in patient care, diagnostics, and client communication before transitioning to companion animal medicine. Today, she enjoys combining that diverse veterinary background with her interests in preventive care, internal medicine, ultrasound, ophthalmology, and senior pet care.

Personal Interests
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Schairer enjoys spending time with her husband and son, making the most of family adventures both at home and outdoors. Her lifelong love of animals extends beyond veterinary medicine and includes sharing her life with a Dalmatian, a cat, and her horse.
When she is not caring for patients, Dr. Schairer can often be found horseback riding, reading, running, or enjoying time outdoors with her family. Whether at the barn, on a trail, or curled up with a good book, she values the balance that family, animals, and the outdoors bring to her life.
