Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Elyse Fisher joined Adamstown Veterinary Hospital in 2019 and is passionate about providing compassionate, individualized care to pets and the people who love them. A Lancaster County native, Dr. Fisher always felt called to help animals and their families. Veterinary medicine allows her to give back to the pets that supported her through difficult times in her own life while making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
Before joining Adamstown Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Fisher began her career in mixed animal practice in Perry County, Pennsylvania, where she spent two years caring for both large and small animals. She later transitioned to full-time companion animal medicine and surgery to return closer to home. Dr. Fisher’s connection to Adamstown Veterinary Hospital actually began long before becoming an associate veterinarian, having completed internships with the hospital during the summers of 2014 and 2016.
As a Fear Free Certified Professional and Certified Peaceful Euthanasia Veterinarian (CPEV), Dr. Fisher is committed to providing compassionate care during every stage of a pet’s life. She believes that reducing fear, anxiety, and stress is essential to delivering exceptional veterinary care and is especially passionate about supporting pets and their families through senior care, hospice care, comfort care, and end-of-life decisions. Her goal is to ensure that every pet receives dignity, comfort, and individualized care throughout their entire journey.
Dr. Fisher enjoys building lifelong relationships with patients and helping families navigate every stage of pet ownership—from welcoming new puppies and kittens into the family to supporting senior pets through their golden years.

Personal Interests
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Fisher enjoys spending time with her husband, Chad, and their two children, Hayden and Clark. Their home is filled with a variety of animals, including Maverick, a Dalmatian; Aurora, a Ragdoll cat; Sunny, an orange domestic shorthair cat; Blizzard, a white domestic medium hair cat; Pandora, a ball python; and a freshwater aquarium.
When she is not caring for patients, Dr. Fisher enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, kayaking, camping, and taking family trips to Wildwood, New Jersey. She also enjoys a variety of creative hobbies, including wood burning, knitting, crocheting, and bead crafts. Fun facts about Dr. Fisher: she played trombone in the Penn State Blue Band and enjoys changing her hair color to express her creative side.
